Drexel Men's Tennis Picks Up CAA Victory with 6-1 Win Over George Mason

Philadelphia - The Drexel men's tennis team earned its first Colonial Athletic Association win of the season as the Dragons topped George Mason, 6-1 at Vidas Athletic Complex. The victory improved Drexel's record to 5-7 on the season.
Omar Laalej teamed with Joe Koebele to win at No. 1 doubles, 8-6, over Jay Friedman and Jordan Lipstock. Laalej would go on to cruise to victory in his No. 1 singles match, 6-2, 6-0, over Anastas Budagov. Koebele picked up a victory at No. 2 singles with a straight-sets win over Daniel Schneider, 6-4, 6-2. Carlo Pangilinan, Harrison Clare and Jarrod Popovice also earned victories in singles action.
The Dragons return to the court on Saturday, April 7 for a CAA match with Hofstra. The match has been moved to Riverwinds Tennis Center in West Deptford, N.J. The first match will begin at 5:30 p.m. For directions to Riverwinds, click here.
